Ad\u0131 ge\u00e7en k\u00f6yler; Osmanl\u0131 Devleti\u2019ne minnet ve \u015f\u00fckranlar\u0131n\u0131 belirtmek i\u00e7in d\u00f6nemin Osmanl\u0131 padi\u015fah\u0131n\u0131n ve kendilerini Bulgaristan\u2019dan getiren gemilerin (Mecidiye ve Sultaniye) adlar\u0131n\u0131 alm\u0131\u015flard\u0131r. Ayr\u0131ca Mecidiye ve Sultaniye k\u00f6yleri adlar\u0131n\u0131 tarihi fakt\u00f6rlere ba\u011fl\u0131 olaylardan alm\u0131\u015f k\u00f6yler olarak da kabul edilebilir.<\/p>\n<p>Lapseki il\u00e7esinde, 1877-1878 (93 Harbi) Osmanl\u0131-Rus Sava\u015f\u0131\u2019nda y\u00f6reye gelen g\u00f6\u00e7menlerin yerle\u015fmesi ile kurulmu\u015f \u00fc\u00e7 k\u0131y\u0131 k\u00f6y\u00fc bulunmaktad\u0131r.
